The TimePeriod type exposes the following members.

Gets the date/time period for this item.

Gets the piped list of aliases for this date/time period. For example, in English
the piped list for Quarter is "|q|quarter|quarters|". The leading and trailing pipes
allow for easy matching. This format not only allows for straightforward aliases,
but is also a convenient mechanism for treating plurals and gender (for languages
using gender).
