FileWidget Properties

Gets/sets the types of files that the server accepts (that can be submitted through a file upload). This value is used to set the HTML input ACCEPT attribute on the File subcontrol. See http://www.w3schools.com/tags/att_input_accept.asp for more information on ACCEPT. Note that ACCEPT is now supported by most recent browsers. It appears that the most recent widely-used browser the DOES NOT support ACCEPT is Internet Explorer 9.

Gets or sets the access key that allows you to quickly navigate to the Web server control.

Gets the browser-specific adapter for the control.

Gets/sets whether or not the BndLkup button should be in the page tab order (that is, whether or not it should allow the user to tab to the button to give it focus). The default value is true.

The alternate text to display for the control's button portion.

Gets/sets whether the control width should be applied to the TextBox only (vs. the entire control). By default the control width is applied to the entire control (including icon buttons), but when this option is set, the width is applied to the TextBox only allowing the icon buttons to extend beyond the specified width. This setting is used to size the TextBox in BndLkup controls to match other non-BndLkup controls (rather than sizing the entire BndLkup to match).

Gets the control's ImageButton.

The ClientID of the control used to hold the true filename when this widget is used to show the "pretty" name. If this value is null or blank then it is assumed that there is no dedicated control for the "pretty" name and so only the true filename is captured.

Specifies whether or not to render the TextBox with a fixed size when locked vs. unlocked. Normal rendering increases the width of the textbox to occupy the entire control space with the widget icon and clear icon are not presented. When this option is set, the TextBox is always rendered the same size even when the widget icon and clear icon are not rendered.

Gets the font properties associated with the Web server control.

Gets or sets the foreground color (typically the color of the text) of the Web server control.

Determine if the control is being rendered in the .Net Studio. Currently we assume this is the case if, and only if, there is not HttpContext.

LiveLook is not supported by the FileWidget because it uses a transparent HtmlInputFile overlay.

Gets/sets the error message to display to the user if the user attempts to upload a file whose size exceeds the limit specified by MaxFileKB. See MaxFileKB for more information.

Gets/sets the maximum file size that a user should be allowed to upload. The size is specified in KB (1024 bytes) units, so, for example, 10 means 10240 bytes. Generally you should also set MaxFileErrorMessage if you set MaxFileKB. Note that client-side validation for this setting can be performed on more recent browsers as they expose the file size for user-selected upload files. The URL to which to navigate. If a NavigateURL is specified, Text is provided, the lookup button is locked and the textbox is readonly, then a hyperlink will be rendered using this URL.

Gets/sets whether or not this control is being used for secure data. When used for secure data, a Password control is used internally instead of a TextBox.

Gets/sets whether the lookup button and clear button should be shown even when locked. Normally BndLkup buttons are hidden when locked, however, if the locked/unlocked state of the control is going to be toggled in script then it is generally better to show the buttons even when locked.
